Kathryn Mitchell, of Woodside, DE passed away March 20, 2017 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Dover, DE January 1, 1936, the daughter of Martin & Olive Willey. She rests now with her husband of 30 years the late Rodney Mitchell Sr.
Kathryn loved playing bingo & cards, watching the Phillies, dancing and country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family who expressed that, “… mom was close with each and every one of us in her own special way.”
She is survived by her loving children, Rodney Jr. (the late Teresa), Phillip (Rogette Clarke), Kathy Davis (Eddie), Kenny (Freida Ivory), Karen Sawyer (the late Bucky) & Marlyn Mobley (Michael); her cherished grandchildren Michelle Zerrad (Kamal), Kimberley Waite (John), Martin Davis (Amy), Allan Davis (Denise), Kandy Wooleyhand (Thomas), Kenny Mitchell, Jr., Crystal Mitchell, Dawn Richards (Robert), Courtney Mitchell, Ashley Lyon, Brad Sawyer, Brooke Mobley & Ashley Ivory. Also surviving are great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and her brother Richard Willey (Carol). She is preceded in death by her brother Marcus Willey.
Funeral Service 12 Noon, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Friends may gather beginning at 10 am. Interment to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE.
