June Elizabeth Fransisco, age 91, passed away surrounded by her loving family, Monday, March 20, 2017 at Bayhealth Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her first & second husbands, Chet Taber of Cato, NY (1948) & James W Fransisco of Camden, DE (2011).
June was born in Hannibal, NY on October 2, 1925, the daughter of Harry & Nina (Pellet) Cole. She graduated from Hannibal High School in 1943.
June was active with the Republican Campaign Committee. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Read a Loud Program. She worked in the Caesar Rodney cafeteria where her children attended school.
She was a loving mother of her four children, Gail (John) Strauch of Kiawa Island, SC, Jim Fransisco of Punta Gorda, FL, Glenn (Jacyne) Fransisco of Felton, DE & Paul (Patti) Fransisco of Camden, DE.
She was a proud & actively involved grandmother to Ryan (Megan) Fransisco of Magnolia, DE & Matthew Fransisco of Felton, DE. She will be missed by her great grandchildren Patrick & Finley Fransisco.
She is survived by her brother Sherman Cole of Alabama, her sister Sharon (Cole) Miller (Carl) of Hannibal, NY and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of Home Instead & Westminster Village for their compassion & caring over the years. Thanks also to the nurses & doctors at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover for their expertise & compassion.
