Joseph James Hennessey, Sr. age 77 of Hartly, Delaware, formerly of Pennsylvania & Maine passed away February 5, 2018; the son of the late Emile "Henney" & Dorothy Hennessey.

Joe was a successful architect registered in 15 states who loved hunting, fishing, drawing and reading.

He is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Gail; children, Joseph (Pam), Michael (Neve) & Kim (Robert) Shubert; grandchildren, Heather, Laura, Craig, Shane, Gavin, Nicole, Randal & Kate; four great grandchildren; his sister, Roseann (Walter) Connell, family and friends.

Private cremation services have taken place.

Memorials may be made to the Hartly Elementary School or American Cancer Society.
