Joan Marie (Harven) Warnick

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Joan Marie Warnick, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.  Joan was born on March 7, 1936 in Mt. Union, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Anna Harven.  She was 80 years old.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; granddaughter, Malia; and great granddaughter, Briella.

Joan was a proud homemaker and Air Force wife, devoting her life to her family.  She spent 51 years married to her husband and best friend, Allen, meeting when she was just 7 years old.  She missed him dearly when he passed in 2009.  Joan loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed flowers and gardening, cooking, baking, decorating, and shopping, and listening to music, especially country, gospel, and polka.

Joan is survived by her children, Renee Hobayan (Val), Allan Warnick (Robin), and Darryl Warnick (Katie); grandchildren, LéBon (Stephanie), Dustin, Jeremy (Roxanne), Jason (Kayla), Justin, Lyndsey, Nathan, Shelby, Shawn, Bradley, Rebecca, and Grace; great grandchildren, Jayda and Julian; her caregiver, Angel, and her Australian Shepherd, Sugar Baby.

A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue Wyoming, Delaware 19934.  Friends may gather one hour prior.  Burial will follow services at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
