Dr. Janet Diedra Sang-Blodgett of Dover passed away August 2, 2017 at Kent General Hospital. Janet was born December 4, 1937 in Brownsville, PA. She is preceded in death by her husband Allen Blodgett.
She was a graduate of the University of Maryland and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in May of 1976, her Master’s of Counseling in June 1981 and PhD is Psychology in May of 2006. She used her education and experience in her career, retiring after over 20 years of service working as a counselor for the State of Delaware. Janet enjoyed her winters with her late husband Allen in South Padre Island, TX. She had many passions to include: family, church, travel and education. In her spare time she lived life to the fullest gardening, crafting, making jewelry, cooking & baking, pottery and attending book club.
She is survived by her daughter’s, Debbie Stogner (Jerry) & Pam Herrmann (Doug); grandchildren, Daniel Stogner (Theresa), Tory Stogner, Katie Kenton (Brandon) & Billy Washington (Star); great grandchildren, Isaac & Mena Stogner, Hayden & Grace Kenton & Sadie Washington, and a brother, Bob Sang (Bobbie).
Funeral Service Saturday, August 5, 2017, 1 pm at Calvary Church, 1141 Lebanon Rd., Dover, DE, where friends may call beginning at 12 Noon. Interment to follow in Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dover.
