James D. "Jimmy" (AKA Sweets) Stoker, Jr.

          James D. “Jimmy” Stoker, Jr. (AKA Sweets), 55, of Greenwood passed away on August 20, 2015 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

          Jimmy was the owner of Stoker Construction Company.  He was a member of the Andrewville Ruritan Club.  Sweets enjoyed shooting pool with his friends, enjoyed playing the slots with his friends and enjoyed horse racing. He also enjoyed playing scratch off lottery.  Sweets was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.  He enjoyed golf and NASCAR.  Jimmy was Past President of the Woodbridge Little League, where he coached and umpired for many years.

         Jimmy is survived by his sister, Patricia A. Jester and her husband Kreg of Greenwood; his sister Debra K. Carney and her husband Roger of Dover; his brother Raymond L. Stoker of Dover; his sister JoAnn E. Allaband of Dover; his sister Daisy M. Veith and her husband Michael of Milford; and his brother William Raughley Foraker, Jr. and his lifelong partner Jana Temone McClinsey of Milford. Sweets is also survived by the love of his life, Linda Johnson of Harrington; his stepson Wade Rash of Harrington; his best friend Johnny Butler (AKA J.B.); 14 nieces and nephews, one of them his Goddaughter Jenna Jester; and three great nieces.  Jimmy was preceded in death by his son James Douglass “J.D.” Stoker, III.

       A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 P.M. Wednesday August 26, 2015 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Wednesday. Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
