James Lee Paige

June 10, 1934 ~ June 30, 2016 (age 82) 82 Years Old


James Lee Paige, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 30, 2016, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 82.   James was born, June 10, 1934, in Nanticoke, PA. to the late, Peter & Florence(Ruddick) Paige. He was an educator for over 42 years, and had served as assistant superintendant for the Caesar Rodney School System from 1969-1998.

 He is a member of the Delaware Education Association, and the Delaware Association of School Administrators.

     James served proudly in the United States Army, during the Berlin Crisis.

He was a communicant of Holy Cross Catholic Church, in Dover; where he had taught C.C.D. and served on the Holy Cross School Board.

    In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Albert Paige.

    James is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joan (Tilletski) Paige; 3 children, Janis Peterson &  husband, Scott, of Dover; James Paige & wife, Tobi, of Boalsburg, PA; and Jeffrey Paige & husband, Shane Reeder, of Washington, D.C.; and 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Peterson, Kylie Patel, and Logan Paige.

   A gathering of family and friends, will take place 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, July 5, 2016, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE.

   Mass of Christian Burial is 12 noon, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 South State St., Dover.  Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or to the Michael J.
