James A. “Boo” “Jim” Gassaway, 75, of Dover passed away on January 4, 2018 at home.
Mr. Gassaway was a laborer for Local #199, retiring after 37 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and building trailers. He also liked music. He liked to quote the Bible and was passionate about his religion.
Mr. Gassaway is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ethel C. Gassaway; one son, Kevin McCove of Baltimore, MD; four sisters: Betty Powell of Magnolia, Octavia Gray of San Antonio, TX, Geraldine Gassaway of Townsend and Phelicia Heath of Townsend; and one granddaughter Kimberly George of Dover.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Thursday. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
