Henry Knowles, Jr, 67, of Harrington, Delaware, beloved husband and best friend to Elnora Knowles entered heaven’s gates on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Milford Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Pahokee, Florida to the late Roxie Jones and Henry Knowles, Sr. on April 1, 1950, but he spent most of his life in Delaware.

Henry was a veteran of the Desert Storm War and retired from the United States Army after 25 years of honorable service.  He was a dedicated team member as a seasonal landscaper for the Milford Parks and Recreation in Milford, Delaware and he worked for Pillsbury, in Federalsburg, Maryland for over 20 years.  Henry was a man of many words, a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, loved watching western movies, fishing, daily crossword puzzles, and was our “Mr. Fix It.”  There was nothing too large or too small he couldn’t repair or rig-up.  Let us not forget his sense of style and dress attire.

A proud member and Deacon of True Life Ministries, International Inc., of Harrington, Delaware under the leadership of Lady Apostle Sarah Cannon and Pastor Anthony Harris.

He loved the Lord and he had a passion for helping people and serving his church. For over 16 years he especially enjoyed sponsoring the Annual Fishing Trip and teaching inner city children how to fish.

Besides his wife Elnora, Henry is survived by his three sons Ron Knowles, Cyrus Knowles (Heather) and Henry Knowles III; three loving daughters, Christine Perry, Concella Perry, and Cynthia Perry.  He is survived by his three sisters Vivian Brown (Freddie), Rosa Bynes, and Drucilla Allen; two brothers Robert Hughes (Betty) and John T Knowles; his grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Helen Knowles, his daughter Trenia Perry, his sister Cora Snelling, and brother Samuel Knowles.  Also, he was preceded in death by his special friend who called him “Schoolboy” Apostle Bruce Cannon Sr.

His love of laughter and making others laugh has not ended with his death as he has provided us with so many beautiful memories!
