Helen Jean (Breault) Jones

June 8, 1935 ~ July 12, 2016 (age 81) 81 Years Old


Helen Jean Jones, 81, of Dover, peacefully went to be with the Lord on July 12, 2016. She was born in Escanaba, Michigan on June 8, 1935 to the late,

Francis & Cordelia Breault.  Helen grew up in Escanaba, graduated from the local high school; then married

Her soul mate, Ray, in 1953 after a brief courtship. Together they created Ray’s Plumbing & Heating in 1972. Throughout her life, Helen was known for her devotion

to her family, faith and community. Helen was a lifelong Catholic, serving the parishes at Dover Air Force Base, and Holy Cross Church. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Sodality, had volunteered at the base

pharmacy, and supported St.Judes Childrens Hospital.

  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years,

Ray Eugene Jones; her grandson, Dakota Turner, a great-grandson Elbin Finkbiner,Jr.; her brothers, George , Buck, and Auvergne Breault.

    Helen is survived by her loving children, Dirk(Barbara) Jones; Mary Beth(Tracy)  Spicer; Corey(Harry Ansbach) Jones; Lisa(Henry) Haponstall; Dale(Peter) Greenly;

Tina(Jim) Depew; Michelle(William) Nickerson; and Craig(Tam) Jones. 22 grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristoffer, Damien, Jeremy, Brooke,Travis, Adam, Katherine, Ray, Sommer, Melissa, Rebecca, Victoria, Kayrin, Kelly, Johanna, Madalyn,  Nichole, Holly, Jeffrey, Kymber and Nathan. 15 great-grandchildren, Harrison, Layla, Piper, Bryce, Evon, Mykaela, Kyan, Kenzie, Madeleine, Cassandra, Greyson, Declan, Kate-lynn, Mugen, and Logan. Her sisters, Audrey Burnell and Jackie Richmond, of Michigan; sister-in-law, Dawn Breault, of Minnesota; and her loving companion for the past 10 years, Ed Palmer.

     Her family and friends will miss the spunky, stubborn, independent, adventurous, deeply devoted and spiritual woman we were blessed to call mom, grandma, and great-grandma.

     A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, July 14, 2016, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE.

     Mass of Christian Burial is 10am, Friday, July 15, 2016, in the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 South State St., Dover; followed by burial in the Delaware Veterans Memorial  Cemetery, Millsboro.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St.Jude’s, Maryknoll, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
