My thoughts are with you and the family and how death robs us of our loved ones. Jehovah God has promised to remove death, sickness, and pain from the earth and reunite us with our loved one on a cleansed earth in the future. (Revelation 21:4; John 5:28,29; John 17:3; Psalms 83:18)
In the meantime you can be sure that God understands how you feel now! The Bible assures us:
"He is healing the brokenhearted ones, And is binding up there painful spots." Psalms 147:3

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of Gary’s family. For right now, there’s no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, “... power beyond what is normal “, to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, “... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out “. Jesus was referring to the resurrection. That is our amazing hope! The Bible likens our hope to an anchor. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us and keeps us from drowning in overwhelming sadness. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, “... the God of all comfort “. One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now, during this time of sorrow. I will always remember Gary as a hardworking man whether it was at home or work. He was very creative whether it was woodworking, gardening (his koi pond is beautiful) or renovating their retirement house. I know he will still be looking down on Janet and I and shaking his head at our scrap/skyping silliness. We are sending our love and sympathy--Gary will be dearly missed.

We only knew Gary and Janet for a short time but we came to care very much for them both, they’re our neighbors in Virginia. Gary was always working on their place in Virginia, which they were very proud of and loved. Gary will be missed very much, he always had a smile on his face and he would do what he could to help when it was needed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary’s family.

We wanted to share our condolences with the Talbot family. It is never easy to have to say goodbye to a loved one. The pain of loss can be unbearable. Our Creator promises us that one day this pain will be just a memory. That beautiful promise can be found at Revelation 21:3, 4. Our pain and suffering will be a thing of the past, and we can cry tears of joy as we welcome back the ones that we love so much. We hope you find comfort in those promises.
