Frances E. Jeffries, of Frederica, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017, in her home. She was 71.
Frances was born, October 3, 1946, in Woodbury, N.J. to the late, Francis & Margaret (Manzi) Athey. She had worked as a hairdresser for several years, before settling into the grocery business as a head cashier.
Frances was very active in community affairs, and enjoyed doing ceramics, adult coloring, playing bingo, and going bowling.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Jeffries; 3 children, Cheri Dodds, of Frederica; Fran T. Zumbrunn, of Hixon, TN.; and Christie Engel, of Hawaii.; her sister, Patricia Munyan, of Woodbury, N.J ; 2 brothers, Robert Athey, of National Park, N.J. and William Athey, of Spring Hill, FL.; and 6 grandchildren, Alex, Matthew, Joshua, Zachary, Tyler, and Brennan.
