Evangelist Carrie B Steward

     Evangelist Carrie B. Steward, 56, of Milford passed away on September 22, 2017.

     Mrs. Steward had worked at Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown for several years.  Previously, she had worked as a personnel manager at Walmart in Milford.  She was a member of Mt. Enon Baptist Church in Milford, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Patricia E. Green.  She sang in the choir, she was a minister of the church and worked with the youth in Sunday School.  She enjoyed working with the youth in the community.  She was a former member of Faith, Hope and Love Church in Milford.  She loved angels and collecting rings and reading books and Bibles.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Sonny” Steward and by her son Christopher Steward.  She is survived by two sisters, S. Susan Stewart of Reisterstown, MD and Joann Wilson of Harrington; one brother, John Rowe, Jr. of Philadelphia; her special niece, Cheryl Rowe of Felton; her nephews: Henry Wilson, IV of Harrington, Phillip Stewart of Reisterstown, MD and Gregory Rowe, Sr. of Philadelphia and Kelvin Rowe, Sr.; her sister in law, Helen Mae Rowe; her great nephews: Curtis Rowe, CoShaun Simmons, Cahlil Simmons, Kelvin Rowe, Jr. and Gregory Rowe, Jr. and her great niece Lexus Rowe.

     A funeral service will be Noon Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Mt. Enon Baptist Church, 600 N. Church Street, Milford, DE 19963 where there will be a viewing from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.
