Edwin Cornelius Luhrman

 Ret CW4 Edwin Cornelius Luhrman passed away peacefully in the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware on October 9, 2016 at the age of 85, after receiving long-term care from the Delaware Veterans Home. Edwin was born in New Jersey on March 5, 1931 to Cornelia (Duik) and Edwin Cyril Cox. Edwin joined the service of the Merchant Marines at the age of 17 and traveled to many countries. In 1952 Edwin enlisted into the United States Army, he served in Vietnam and continued to travel the world. In 1983 he retired after 31 years as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. In 1993 he retired as a Deputy Director of logistics at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Edwin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth, their three children, Edwin Luhrman wife Lonna, Melinda Cox husband Kevin, Jill Hoffman husband Ben, four grandchildren; Hayden Luhrman, Savannah and Emersyn Cox and Jenna and  step grandson Shawn Priester wife Jessica.
