Edward Stephen Stout

July 30, 1947 ~ June 29, 2015 (age 67) 67 Years Old


Edward Stephen Stout, of Harrington, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 29, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was 67.

     Ed was born, July 30, 1947, in Red Bank, N.J., to the late, Leslie Peter Stout, Sr. &

Kathleen Marie Stout.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Georgia Stout; a son, James Timothy Galloway; a brother, Leslie Peter

Stout, Jr.; a sister, Linda M. Kemble; brother-in-law,Robert  Jenkins; and a grandson,

August N. Yunker.

    Ed worked as an electrician for 53 years; with various employers, such as : Chris Electric, in Fairhaven, NJ   ; Little Silver Electric, in Little Silver, NJ; O.B.Williams Electric, of Dover, DE; Lee Townsend Electric, of Camden, DE;  and Towles Electric, in both Smyrna & Dover for 25 years.  Ed then owned his own company, Stout Service, in Felton, for over 10 years, before ultimately retiring from Advantac, in Dover.  His favorite saying was : “ When in doubt, call Ed Stout”. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and shooting darts, and was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge # 534, Harrington, DE.

    Ed is survived by his wife Kay Galloway Stout; whom he married December 26,1979. ; his sons, Jay & Yumi Galloway; Michael & Sandra Nagle-Galloway;  Jon & Villma Galloway; and J. Matthew & Shana Galloway. ;  2 sisters, Lorraine & John Ron Choma, of Fair Haven, N.J., and Shirley Jenkins, of  Shrewsbury Twp., N.J.; a sister-in-law, Judy Stout, of Lincroft, N.J.; nieces, Sharon Jenkins, Patty Martinson, Donna Vandasante and Joanne & John Fiedler; and Jeanine Laboy ;  nephews, Raymond Choma, Ronald Choma, Jr., and Frank Smaltino;  20 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.

    A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, July 2, 2015, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc. 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where funeral services will take place 11am, Friday, July 3, 2015.  Casual Attire is suggested for both events.

Burial will follow in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
