Edith Johnson Farr, 94, passed away on April 18, 2015 at Courtland Manor Nursing Home in Dover, DE.
Edith was the daughter of Benjamin and Sara Johnson and sister to Benjamin Johnson (Dorothy) and Mary Buswell (Fred) all of whom
preceded her in death. Edith is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Stanley D. Farr who also resides at Courtland Manor.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara "Sally" Fitzpatrick (Ed) of Middletown, DE, son, Jeffrey Farr (Karen) of Walled Lake, MI, grandchildren Benjamin Fitzpatrick, Daniel Fitzpatrick (fiancé Sandy Chun), Jessica Krueger (Brian), and Christopher Farr (fiancé Anna Gundersen).
Having lived in Hamilton Square, NJ as well as Maumee, OH and Pinehurst, NC, Edith had the chance to form many friendships through church
activities, bridge games, and her love of art. She enjoyed teaching, oil and china painting, and vacations at the beach with family.
A celebration of Edith's life will be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers her family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
