     Dustin James Sanders, of Marydel, passed away after a long battle with cancer, Saturday, June 10, 2017, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was 30.

    Dustin was born in Dover. DE . He was an excellent student , who excelled in Math; and was a member of the Dover High School Graduating Class of 2005. Dustin enjoyed staying busy, and was a jack of all trades. He would help restore airplanes for the Massey Air Museum, in Massey, Maryland  or cutting down trees for firewood. In his free time Dustin liked to go 4-wheeling, fishing, playing Sudoku or winning money at the BlackJack tables at Dover Downs. He enjoyed sports and was an avid New England Patriots Fan.

   Dustin is survived by his mother, Karen L. Sanders and step-dad M. Jay Benton, of Marydel; his father & step-mother, James & Mary Sanders, of Clayton; a sister, Stacy L. Montanez & husband, Raul,  and nephew, Ryan A. Montanez, of Marydel; and a step-brother, James W. Read, of Hartly. Aunts, Sandra Weishaupt, Cindy L. Griffin, and Anna L. Masciantonio, all of Dover. Tammy L. Prince & husband, Larry, of Wyoming; Martha J. Persinger & husband Clark, of Bridgeville; and Helen Crist & husband, Dave, of Alabama. Uncles, James L. Jarvis, Jr, of Marydel; Acie Sanders, of Arkansas; Mike Sanders, of West Virginia, and Les Link & wife, Janet, of Cheswold;  and his faithfull companion , dog, Honey.

     The family wishes to extend a heartfelt  Thank  You to the Marydel Fire Company  for all they have done for Dustin and his family.

     Funeral Services will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, June 16, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may view from 11am to 1 pm. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 100 West 10 th St. Suite 209, Wilmington, DE 19801 or to the Marydel Fire Company, 110 Firehouse Lane, P.O.Box 400, Marydel, DE 19964.
