Dorothy Hobbs Bickling

            Dorothy Hobbs Bickling passed away with her daughter by her side on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

            She was born on January 5, 1933 in Hazletville to Samuel and Nellie (Voshell) Hobbs.

            Dorothy retired from Playtex in Dover after 31 years of service.

            She lived on South Street in Wyoming, Delaware all of her married life.  She moved three years ago to live with her daughter where she passed away.

            Dorothy came from a large family and was proud of the fact that she was the youngest of 17 children.

            She was preceded in death by her husband Everett C. Bickling, Sr. in 1981, daughter Cristal Tucker in 2013, siblings Lester Hobbs and Edgar Hobbs both of Wilmington, John Hobbs of Viola, Myrtle Kemp, Elizabeth Warren and Anna Mae Warren all of Willow Grove, Catherine Toler of Smyrna, and a set of twins that died shortly after birth.  She also had seven half brothers and sisters.

            Dorothy is survived by her son Everett C. Bickling, Jr. of Wyoming, and her daughter Dianna Poore, four grandchildren George Poore and Cristal Poore of Felton, Everett C. Bickling III of Wyoming, and Jeromy Tucker of Greenwood, one great grandson Johnathon Tucker and one great granddaughter on the way.

            Friends may gather 6-8 pm Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, and where service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
