Don Kevin CollierMay 12, 1958 ~ July 13, 2017 (age 59)
Don K Collier, of Camden-Wyoming, was called home to be with our Lord, on July 13, 2017. He was 59.
Don was born, May 12, 1958, in Chestertown, MD to the late, Emerson & Marion Collier.
He was a self employed auto mechanic for 18 years. There wasn’t a car or a question that came through his shop that he couldn’t repair or answer. Don was the local go-to guy for any and all automotive concerns or needs.
Don loved to laugh, but right up with that was his need for speed. His love for racing spanned from watching NASCAR on T.V., to building race cars, racing the drag strip, to restoring antique cars or building the trailers to haul these cars. His love of asphalt racing and dirt track racing then led him to building go-karts, and having his own track in his backyard. He later owned sprint cars and late model race cars. He didn’t stop there though, Don went on to own a Harley Davidson, do some traveling, owning a boat, and relaxing at the docks. His passing and heart will be dearly missed by so many.
Now here you are, The Final Lap. See you at the checkered flag.
Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy(George) Collier; his oldest daughter, Heather McKinney & husband, Kevin; his youngest daughter, Sherri Williams & husband, Greg; his oldest brother, Mike Collier & wife, Margie; his older brother Jack Collier; and 6 grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm, Friday, July 21, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may gather 2 hours before. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
