DeWitt Greene, 67, of Frederica passed away on June 20, 2017 at home.
Mr. Greene had been a laborer for Union Local #199 out of Wilmington. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, yard work, barbequing and spending time with his great grandchildren.
Mr. Greene is survived by his wife of 43 years, JoAnne (Quailes) Greene; one daughter, Pamela Jackson and her husband Wayne of Camden-Wyoming, DE; five brothers: Walter Greene and his wife Patricia of South Carolina, Bobby Greene and his wife Brenda of South Carolina, Larry Greene and his wife Sharon of North Carolina, Roddy Greene of Wilmington, DE and Randy Greene of Atlanta, GA; five sisters: Mary Bateman of Wilmington, DE, Belle Blackstock and her husband Jimmy of South Carolina, Cindy Burgos of Wilmington, Brenda Greene-Mathis and her husband Larry of Hockessin, DE and Retta Greene of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren: Janay Washington and her significant other Kevin Johnson of Dover, DE and Ja’Neisha Stevenson and her husband Rahsean of New Castle, DE; and three great grandchildren: Jada Parker, Rahsean Stevenson, Jr. and Rahnyia Stevenson.
A funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
