>Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your loved one. Take comfort in knowing that soon all those in the memorial tombs or grave will be resurrected or raised up back to life in conditions free from sickness and death (John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:4). These are few of many comforting scriptures. For more information on how to cope with the loss of your loved one, please visit www.jw.org.

Dr. Coons,
Will be missed dearly! He has helped me by being an advocate in so many different ways and making my stay at DSU a pleasant one.
He leaves us with this scripture in mind:

A Time for Everything

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
2 A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
6 A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. 12 So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 13 And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.

Dan always used the expression" don't count this old soldier out " , and a great soldier he was ! We had the pleasure of knowing him through the Korean War Veterans Association, and also aviation. He touched many lives, including ours. Our prayers to his family during this difficult time. RIP Dan, you certainly deserve it. You will be missed by many. One last flight to be with Our Lord.

My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Many can relate to what it feels like to be touched by death. What has helped my family to cope were scriptures such as John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3,4; 1 Peter 5:7. Reading and thinking on these scriptures can help to bring you comfort and strength in the weeks and months to come. Knowing that our loving heavenly Father understands and cares about what you're going through can be a real source of strength. May the God of comfort, comfort you at this time. Please visit the website JW.org for additional information on the resurrection.

What a great guy! Teacher and coach...usually smiling, always complimenting, his praise was always appreciated. Whenever we met up in later years, I enjoyed catching up and having a laugh or two. His style was something we students will never forget.8

Wow what a great man. Mr Coons was my history teacher and football coach back many years ago in Cooperstown. He was a teacher and friend that I have thought of through so many years. He and Harry Peplinski came deer hunting in our property many years ago.
I was so proud. May God bless him and his family. Ed Kirn. Class of 1964
