The services yesterday were a beautiful tribute to Dale's life and accomplishments. I didn't know I could cry and laugh at the same time. I'm so glad I got to see so many folks from the "home team." Prayers and love to Farmers as they go forward into new normal.

Mr. Farmer will always be remembered in my life as a winner, both on and off the field. His accomplishments professionally are well chronicled, but his relationship with his family and friends were most important. Having grown up with his son DC ("Lightning" as so named by his father) I was fortunate to spend time with the Farmer family. One of the lasting memories of Mr. Farmer was his patience, nurturing spirit and a welcome laugh or smile, a lot of which I try and practice each and every day. He had a huge influence for a lot of us growing up in Smyrna, we're very proud to have called you Coach Farmer.

My wife Teresa and I wish the Farmer family our deepest condolences, but hope you have time to remember the good times spent with your husband/father/grandfather/great grandfather. He will be missed by many who followed his path.

My sincerest condolences to the Farmer family. Dale was so helpful to me at the early stages of my career and did so much for high school athletics in Delaware. What we have today is because of Dale's foresight and hard work. I am forever indebted to him for his guidance, professionalism , and compassion.

To the Farmer family, I am very sorry for the loss of your love one. Though, I did know Mr. Dale as I read his obituary it became very clear that he did live and give his life to family work and friends. Sixty-three years of marriage say many things about two people, His dedication and endeavors for his workgoes beyond a work it was a way of life that made him who he was. I want to share a hope with you, a hope of life for all in the memorial tomb, the resurrection. A wonderful hope of life. Rev 21:4

My condolences to Jennie and the family. I pray the sorrow of your loss is soon replaced by pleasant memories of Dale and your time together. Dale did so much for interscholastic athletics in Delaware. All of us in school sports owes Dale a debt of gratitude. His legacy lives on every time a Delaware student steps on an interscholastic field of play.

Sorry to hear this. As a Phys Ed instructor and Coach, his focus was not just on the best athletes. He made the effort to make sure everyone at every level did the best they could do.

This would be a much sadder world with Dale's passing except that every thing he did and touched left a noticeable and lasting improvement. His family, friends and career are immeasurably improved because of his dedication and efforts.
He was the finest man I ever knew and I’ll miss him immensely. It was an honor and a privilege to have had him in our lives.
All our love to his famly.
