      Christy Leigh(Bailey) Mace, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017, in Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 53.

     Christy was born, June 28, 1964, in Mobile, Alabama, to the Late, Blaine & Alline(Beck) Bailey.  She is a Graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, Class of 1982.

      She was a School Bus Driver for many years, beginning with the K-Mart Bus Service for the Lake Forest School District, then the Hilton Bus Service, and then Dawson Bus Service in Camden for the past 15 years.

    Christy was a member of the North Bowers Fire Company  Auxiliary, for over 30 years, and also the Little Creek Fire Company Auxiliary for the past 3 years. She had worked at Redners for a couple of years, and in her free time enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, and riding her motorcycle. But her favorite thing was spending time with her family.

      In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Haidin Leo Sweeney, who passed away in 2008.

      Christy is survived by her husband Jack Mace, Jr. ; her daughter, Brittney A. Mace Sweeney & husband, Chad, of Magnolia; son, Ryan E. Mace & girlfriend Kris Crader, of  Magnolia; 2 grandchildren, Chad M. Sweeney, Jr. & Haley L. Sweeney; 4 nephews, Jesse B. Pillitter, of Alaska; Charles Mace, Jr., Thomas Mace, and John Peterson, all of Iowa; a host of great-nieces & great-nephews; her best friend, Lee Mullarkey, of Dover; and her faithfull companions, Bailey, Kiko, and Snowball.

    Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Saturday, October 14, 2017, and 12-1 pm, Sunday, October 15, 2017,  in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm, Sunday. Burial will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.  Christy asked that those who are attending please wear casual attire.
