Welcome to the memorial page for

Christine L Feliciano

December 23, 1944 ~ July 18, 2017 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Christine Louise Feliciano of Camden, DE was born on December 23, 1944, and went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the daughter of the late Sherman Johnson and Ethel Taylor Johnson.

Christine received her education at William Henry High School, and graduated with her diploma in 1964.

On December 24, 1969, Christine was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Miguel Feliciano, and from this union three children were born.  The family lived in New York, and years later moved back home to Delaware.

In 1981 Christine joined Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Camden, DE where she remained a faithful member.  She credited her tremendous growth and faith in her relationship with the Lord in her earlier years because of the care, guidance, and learning that she initially received from the Reverend Rita Paige while attending Wednesday night bible studies at Star Hill AME Church.  She served at her local church in the following capacities, as Pastor’s Steward, and choir director.  She also took care of cleaning and beautifying the edifice at Zion.  She was an all-around handywoman when it came to fixing and taking care of things that needed to be done in her church.  She graced many with her delicious fried fish, and many other dishes, like Spanish rice and beans.  She also loved gardening, and in her younger years she loved baseball (1st base), and playing marbles. Sister Christine loved the Lord and would sing with such joy and passion as she lifted up her voice in praise giving thanks to her Savior and Redeemer.  She truly loved her family and grandchildren.  She kept her family in prayer and always tried to instill in them to love one another and to respect everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, and three brothers Jimmy, Reynolds, and Carl Dickerson.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Miguel A. Feliciano, Jr. (Giovanna) of Killeen, TX, Robert L. Feliciano, Sr. of Camden, DE, and a daughter Elizabeth Feliciano of Camden, DE.  Her grandchildren Amanda, Lanardius Palmer, Robert Jr., Emillio, and LeYanna.  Her great-grandchildren, Ameir, Ayneesa, Ky-nier, Eliana, and Zaymell Palmer.

Her sisters Barbara Johnson of Dover, DE, Cora Brown (Earl) of Lynchburg, VA, Mary Hicks of Felton, DE, and Veralee Dukes of Dover, DE, and a brother Lovell Wayne Johnson, Camden, DE.  Her in-laws Maria and Lou Feliciano of Puerto Rico.  And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including her best friend Shirley Bordley.

Funeral Service Monday, 7/24/2017, 11 am at Wyoming Church, 216 Wyoming Mill Road, Dover, DE, where friends may call 1 hour prior to service.  Interment Sharon Hills Cemetery, Dover.
