Bobbie Joe Wallace went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2015.  She was 82 years old.  Bobbie was born on July 6, 1933, in Cordele, Georgia to the late Cora Lee and Green Henry Clack.  She was also preceded by her 5 siblings, Bea, Hubert, Bernice, Herman, and Geraldine.

Bobbie attended Crisp County High School in Georgia.  After graduation she worked as a waitress, where she was introduced to the man that would become her future husband.  At the age of 18, she married Bill Wallace, the love of her life, and they were blessed with 64 wonderful years together, until his passing just six short weeks ago.

Bobbie was employed as a secretary at various places in Dover, finishing her career at Bayhealth. She had many hobbies and interests, and enjoyed bowling, traveling, shopping, cooking, and apple picking with friends, but was best known for her award winning peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Aside from everything she did or could do, it was her character that set her apart from others. Bobbie was everyone’s Mom.  She was kind, generous, compassionate, and accepting of others.  She was a shoulder to lean on, and always had an encouraging word for those around.  She had a strong faith in God and remained an active member at Faith Community Church in Dover, most notably serving as an AWANA Ministry Team Leader at FCC.

Bobbie leaves behind her loving children, Cyndie and her husband Bill Burke, William Jr. and his wife Ann, and Gary and his wife Joy; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff and nursing team at Pinnacle Health Center for their care, love, and support during her time there, with special thanks to her friend, Ms. Evelyn.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Bobbie’s honor can be made to Faith Community Church, 2240 S. Dupont Hwy, Camden, Delaware 19934.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon, on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, Delaware 19934.  Friends may view two hours prior.  Burial will follow services at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
