Benjamin " Bud" Storms, Jr.September 3, 1928 ~ April 11, 2017 (age 88)
Benjamin “Bud” C. Storms, Jr., of Camden, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 88.
Bud was born September 3, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA., to the late, Benjamin & Ann Elizabeth (Wood) Storms. Bud served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War; then worked as a cutter with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union in Philadelphia for over 50 years before retiring. In his younger years Bud enjoyed racing cars, then in later years shooting pool , especially in the Barclay Farms Clubhouse.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by a son, Greg Edward Storms; a sister, Joan Watts; and grandchildren, Jody & Heather Storms.
Bud is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann (Gouldner) Storms; a son, Glenn William Storms, of Woodbury, N.J.; 2 Brothers, Edward Storms, of Levittown, PA., and William Storms, of Bensalem, PA.; his brother-in-law, and best friend since childhood, Edward Watts, of Levittown, PA. ; Grandchildren, Greg T. Storms, Jr, Kristina Storms, Scott Storms, Angel Peters, Glenn W. Storms, Jr., Jared Storms and Paul Storms; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Marable, Christian Marable, Deanna Storms, Haley Storms, P.J. Storms, and Summer Storms.
A Memorial Service will take place at 3 pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may gather 1 hour before. Burial will take place at later date in Washington Crossings National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
