Alvin L Wallace, 77

Hartly - Alvin Wallace passed away Tuesday April 17, 2018.

Mr. Wallace was born May 2, 1940 to the late Harold and Verna Wallace. Before proudly serving in the United States Navy for four years, he graduated in 1958 from Dover High School. He then worked for IBM for 30 years. 

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, raising horses, working outside in his garden and yard. He and his wife attended Greensboro Baptist Church where he had faithfully served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.  He was a very devout Christian whose faith touched many throughout his entire life.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret, to whom he was married for 54 years, three children, Chris Wallace (Cindy), Monica Mulderrig (Gerard), Rose Lucera(Erick), seven grandchildren, Ethan, Jason, Rachel, Thomas, Jonathan, Timothy and Emily.  He is also survived by his siblings George Wallace and Phyllis Steele and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Harold.

Viewing Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm and Monday, April 23, 2018 from 10 am until the time of funeral service 11 am at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE.  Interment with military honors to follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, DE
