Alice Louise Carrico, of Wyoming, passed away, Tuesday, November 15, 2016, in Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 88.
Alice was born, November 14, 1928, in Reading, PA. to the late, John & Cora(Shaffer) Brooks. She had worked as a Registered Nurse, in Kent General Hospital from 1956-1983. Alice was a member of Wyoming United Methodist Church. She loved history, and in her free time she enjoyed to read, knit, doing crossword puzzles, and walking the mall with a group of friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Carrico, who passed in 2004.
Alice is survived by 5 children, Robert G. Carrico, of Middletown; Jane L. Sweeney, of New Jersey; Joanne M. Carrico, of Dover; Charles K. Carrico, of Middletown; and Leigh E. Carrico, of Dover. Her sister, Ruth M. Shaffer, of Reading, PA. Four grandchildren, Dawn Jordan, of Pike Creek; Brian C. Wothers, of Florida; Matthew K. Carrico & Nicole P. Carrico, both of Middletown; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kile Kepler, of Pennsylvania and Madison Jordan, of Pike Creek.
A Memorial Service will be held at a 2 pm, December 1, 2016, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, DE; where family and friends may gather from 1:30pm to 2 pm.
